I traded with someone last night and I'll post the stats here (I don't believe this costed me 2.5k! )

-5 energy (Wish that wasn't on it...)

I want to clear this up once and for all for myself.
When it says "while health is above/below 50%," does it refer to your own health or the enemy's health? I've been told both by different people. Thanks!

Yup - just like almost any other dmg modifier - "while in a stance" doesn't refer to your enemy being in stance, but you being in a stance for example.

I just use the collector staves with +5/+5 defensive parts.
